What Is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that uses a hand-held tool made of tiny, fine needles to manually create thin, hair-like strokes in the brow. Pigment is deposited into the upper layers of the skin as each stroke is drawn by hand, allowing for a highly customized, textured result that closely resembles natural brow hair.

Because each stroke is manually placed, microblading offers a level of artistic control that's especially well-suited to normal or dry skin types, where the fine incisions heal crisply and hold pigment well.

Who Microblading Is Great For

  • Sparse, over-plucked, or thinning brows

Hand-drawn strokes fill in gaps with a natural, hair-like texture that blends with your existing brow hair.

  • Normal to dry skin types

Microblading tends to heal best and hold its crisp line on normal or dry skin, where fine incisions are less prone to blurring.

  • Clients wanting a classic, hand-drawn hairstroke look

If you love the look of individually drawn strokes with a soft, artisanal feel, microblading delivers that texture.

  • Asymmetrical or uneven natural brow shape

During your mapping session, we design a shape that balances both brows and complements your unique bone structure.

  • First-time PMU clients wanting a natural, subtle enhancement

Microblading is a popular entry point into permanent makeup thanks to its natural, understated result.

Reviews & Testimonials

Frequently Asked Question's About Microblading

  • How long does microblading last?

Microblading typically lasts 1–2 years, depending on your skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routine. A touch-up is usually recommended every 12–18 months to keep the strokes crisp.

  • Does microblading hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or light scratching rather than pain. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable throughout.

  • What's the difference between microblading and nano brows?

Microblading uses a hand-held bladed tool to manually cut hairstrokes into the skin, while nano brows uses a precision digital machine. Microblading offers a very hand-drawn, artisanal texture, while nano brows tends to hold up better on oilier skin.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need two sessions: an initial appointment and a touch-up 6–8 weeks later to perfect the shape, symmetry, and pigment retention.

  • Is microblading good for oily skin?

Microblading can fade or blur faster on oily skin compared to drier skin types. If you have oily or combination skin, we may recommend nano brows or combo brows instead during your consultation.

  • Can I still get microblading if I have existing PMU?

In many cases, yes — but it depends on the condition, color, and saturation of your existing work. A consultation is required so we can assess whether microblading can go directly over your existing PMU or whether color correction or saline removal should come first.

  • How soon can I wear makeup after microblading?

We recommend avoiding makeup directly on the brow area until the skin is fully healed, typically 7–10 days. You can resume your normal makeup routine everywhere else right away.
