Pre-Care Instructions
Please read the following and follow as closely as possible.
✨ What should I expect during my PMU or paramedical tattooing service?
All permanent makeup and paramedical tattooing procedures typically require multiple sessions to achieve optimal, long-lasting results. A perfecting session is usually recommended 6-10 weeks after your initial appointment. Some skin types, especially oily or textured skin, may require additional touch-ups.
Please note:
- Color will appear darker and more defined immediately following your appointment.
- Over the next 7 days, the pigment will soften and lighten by approximately 30-40%.
- Redness and mild swelling may occur but typically resolves within a few hours.
💉 Does it hurt?
We use professional-grade topical anesthetics to ensure your comfort throughout the process. However, sensitivity levels vary from person to person. Some clients feel no discomfort, while others may experience mild sensations.
💡 Pre-Appointment Guidelines
To ensure the best outcome and minimize risk of complications, please:
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior.
- Discontinue blood thinners (if medically cleared by your doctor).
- Do not wax, tweeze, or thread the area beforehand.
- Avoid retinoids, AHA products, and exfoliants for 2 weeks.
- Avoid Botox treatments 2 weeks prior.
- No tanning 7 days before.
- If prone to cold sores (for lip blush or areola services), take an antiviral medication as prescribed.
- Avoid chemical peels or laser treatments for at least 4 weeks before your service.
⚠️ Who is not a good candidate?
For your safety, we do not recommend permanent makeup or paramedical tattooing if you:
- Are currently pregnant or nursing
- Have active skin conditions near the treatment area
- Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
- Have liver disease or compromised immune function
Post-Care Instructions

Detailed pre-care and post-care instructions will be emailed to you after booking your service.
